Hi, I'm Brittany. I’m a marketer, connector and community builder. I am a lover of all the books, drinker of all the coffee and relentless pursuer of cultivating a joy-filled life. Uncovering what brings you joy is a game-changer. When you are joyful you show up differently and when you show up differently, it creates a ripple effect of goodness out in the world. Finding joy starts with YOU. Taking the time to work on your personal and professional development. This is where my little slice of the internet comes in. I'm here to share my favorite resources, systems, daily practices and habits that have helped me cultivate a life, career and marriage that brings me JOY.

My Day Job

I've worked in the marketing industry the last 8 years building digital experiences that make people take notice. From spearheading digital literacy programs while working for Microsoft to leading Global Social Media Strategies, I'm a purpose-driven marketer that thrives on orchestrating marketing communication/media initiatives that make an impact.

I've also learned that our 9-5's are one of the biggest contributors of GROWTH. From mastering interpersonal communication with co-workers to navigating tough conversations --- nothing primes you for development more than our working environments. I've used this real-world experience in both my coaching and speaking to showcase relatable scenarios and achievable outcomes.

Personal & Professional Development Guru

My dream has never changed. Every since I was a little girl, I have always wanted to positively help others through motivational speaking and coaching. Dead stop. I'm not lying when I say this dream has NEVER changed throughout my entire 30 years of existence, which is why I’m so focused on leaning into these areas in 2019 and beyond. I've always known WITHOUT A SINGLE DOUBT that this is my calling.

From creating original speeches in my high school speech & debate club to hosting professional development workshops for my mom's college classes (hi Mom! Thanks for always supporting my dreams even when I had zero experience) to now leading large-scale digital marketing presentations, nothing gets me more jazzed then when I can use my voice to speak and teach on topics I love.

My curiosity has always led me down paths that teach me how to grow in each of my life areas. You'll regularly find me attending personal development classes/workshops/conferences, reading all the books on development and working on myself in anyway that I can.

"If you are not obsessed with your life, change it"

a few of my favorite things:

My Family

My family is my EVERYTHING. I'm so lucky to have an exceptional marriage to ROD (literally the best guy in the entire world). He is my favorite friend and most encouraging coach.

My world would not continue to go-round if it wasn't for my handsome fur-child Sampson. Every single day I create parodies about Sampson sung to popular pop songs. For example, my current favorite is "He wags his tail back and forth, he wags his tail back and forth" sung to the tune of Willow Smith.

There are few things in life that get me as excited as traveling and experiencing new places. Each year Rod and I map out where we will adventure to next.

Coming up in 2019 our travels revolve around moving into a new home! I'll be sure to share updates on the blog.

As both a daughter and granddaughter of librarians, there was no chance of me not loving to read. You'll regularly find me curled up on the couch with a good book and a cup of tea. My current favorite reads include:

-High Performance Habits by Brendon Burchard
-Crazy Rich Asians Trilogy by Kevin Kwan
-Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis
-Dare to Lead by Brene Brown
-Three Dark Crowns Series by Kendare Blake

Give me a musical soundtrack and you give me life. Currently can't stop singing:

My Friends

One of the things that I’m proudest of is the relationships I've surrounded myself with. Each of my friends brings something unique to our relationship and teaches me something new. I wouldn't laugh nearly as much if it wasn't for my friends.
